MISSION STATEMENT Each woman's success is self-defined, but as a community of women, we are capable of collectively realizing our individual dreams. Our mission is to aide in the personal awakening of our fabulous femininity, realizing our true value and incorporating it in every facet of our busy lives! We at ABroad have been profoundly influenced by the supportive community of women in our lives, and our goal is to share with other women this age-old tradition of gathering and inspiring. Our vision is that our clients will: Experience the opportunities that nature provides to define the self, and live independent of the things we believe we need. * Learn basic outdoor skills to better enjoy recreation. Through physical challenge and the resulting feeling of accomplishment, we can acquire gumption for life. * Reacquaint ourselves with the pure elements, and cleanse our mana (spirit) with the healing powers of nature. * Luxuriously indulge ourselves with quiet relaxation and reflection as a means for creating inner harmony. Nurturing body, mind, and soul allows for true rejuvenation. We want to do good, give back, replenish, and renew.
JESSICA BLANK Jessica is a strong, compassionate, and fun-loving “broad” who has since her school days in Portland Oregon, enjoyed a healthy balance of travel, outdoor adventure, education and community. While chasing after her dreams, adventure seeking, and discovering her love of Maui, it became her goal to share this enthusiasm for life, womanhood and nature with other women from around the world. Her extensive knowledge of the area, experience in the backcountry, excellent outdoor survival skills, and her specialty as a Hawaii state medic, make her a capable and fantastic guide. She has led multiple trips in both Colorado and Hawaii, and has been a tour guide on Maui for “the island’s #1 land-based tour.” She strives to “return it better than she found it,” and to live fully by incorporating a “mind, body and soul” philosophy into her daily regimen. Jessica is a true “go-getter,” and her contagious optimism inspires. Jessica is thrilled to share this empowering and unique tour with fellow women.

EMILY NIELSEN Emily came to Maui in 2001. Since then, this free-spirited, fun-loving “broad” from Idaho has found her niche in Maui’s inspiring environment. She is the Spanish teacher at Haleakala Waldorf School, where she gets to spend time with incredible first- through eighth-graders. Emily is a certified Tour Guide for the state of Hawaii, with emphasis on the island of Maui. Her knowledge of Hawaiian history, culture, and language, along with her vivacious lust for adventure, make her an invaluable guide. She is happiest when she is outdoors in nature, and the crisp air of Haleakala does a fabulous job of spiritually charging her soul. Emily has also been blessed with an amazing array of girlfriends, and credits these important connections with making her the confident and adventurous woman she is today. A*Broad is her dream come true, and she is excited to share in this experience with Jessica and other “broads.”
